Long Overdue Update

As usual, life has been nuts. I’m working three jobs now, but hopefully I’ll find time to squeeze in a post here and there every week. The good news is I’ve been making time to take care of myself over the last year. After working closely with my doctor, we’ve figured out the right dosage on my meds. That has helped tremendously. Also, I’ve made some minor changes in my eating plan (no aspartame, no diet soda at all, added in intermittent fasting). These changes have resulted in curing my insomnia and I’m down 60 pounds since the first of 2018, when I was once again close to my highest weight. (Thanks for nothing stress and hormones.) I still have weight to lose, but I’m very happy with my progress. I haven’t seen these numbers on the scale, or wore this size jeans in over 10 years! 

Here’s a photo of me near my highest weight (a few years back, can’t find a recent one since I tend to hide from the camera when I’m feeling self-conscious.) Next to it is a photo from a session I had done for my author business. This was taken in September. I’ve since lost a little more weight (now a total loss of 62 pounds!) and d ropped another jean size. I put this together with my Fitness Pal graphic to remind myself how far I’ve come.
So, that’s the update for now. I’ll try to do better about keeping up here. Sorry it’s been so long!
